Geopatterning Thursday No.3

This week’s geopatterning is this blue and yellow piece inspired by marine life, the sun, plants and more. I also used one of my fav color combo: a light yellow, a deeper yellow, turquoise and cobalt turquoise light. Actually I love bringing in all the yellows and blues I’ve got and sometimes add a bit of green shades. Those colors always make me think of marine life, the sea, the oceans and I love it.

I made one important discovery while making this: this stabilo pen is a gem on textured watercolor paper! I may have not used the most textured paper – this is a WH Smith watercolor pad – but it is textured enough for a regular pen to suffer. That made for one happy discovery πŸ™‚ I absolutely love when I discover new things during my art sessions!

I think this challenge officially ends this month but I enjoy it so I’m going to continue until I feel time has come for me to embark onto a brand new challenge πŸ˜‰

That’s it for this week’s geopatterning. Until next Thursday!

    • Thanks a lot for the nice words! I’m glad you like it πŸ™‚ This art challenge is fun to do and I found that working out the color palette, the composition, the direction of the tape in various places, etc is creatively very interesting.

I'd love to know what you think
